Hospice Kingston’s mission is to provide compassionate care for persons with life limiting illness, at end-of-life, and persons affected by grief and loss. Our goal of care is focused on comfort and is neither to prolong life nor to hasten death.

To support and care for people and families on the journey from life to death, offering comfort, respect and compassion.

Comfort: we aim to lesson pain and suffering in a caring home-like setting.

Respect: we embrace diversity and personal choice, and will value all cultures and faith.

Compassion: we show understanding and kindness toward everyone with whom we engage.

Collaboration and partnerships: we engage and work with others to achieve person-and-family-centred care.

Excellence: we strive to learn, to improve, develop and implement best practices in the delivery of quality care.

Accountability: we foster trust in our community by being accountable for the use of resources and responsive to our community’s needs.

Volunteerism: we honour, respect and support our volunteers to enrich their experience and the lives they touch.
