In-Home Care

Caring for someone with a life-limiting illness takes time, focus and energy. It can be both a challenging and rewarding experience for many family members, caregivers and friends.

Hospice Kingston’s In-home Care Program offers some time away for self-care or practical matters. All trained volunteers understand the unique circumstances, practicalities and emotions of someone living with a life-limiting illness as well as the impact on those closest to the individual.

Volunteers visit the clients wherever they live, offering companionship, conversation and a friendly, caring ear. They can engage the clients in their favourite pastimes, or just be a supportive presence during their time together.

Visits can be arranged as needed. Volunteers do not replace the role of health care professionals. The In-Home Care Program complements the existing health care services that are in place. Please contact Kelly Bell at 613-542-5013 ext 3 for more information or CLICK HERE for the referral form.
