All volunteers who provide direct support to our clients are required to take a 30-hour volunteer palliative care training course.
The course consists of 28 hours of instruction given out over four full-day sessions, and two hours of reading. The sessions take place at Hospice Kingston and in the nursing lab at St. Lawrence College, and cover topics related to the supportive-care role.
We hold the course twice a year, in the fall and in the spring, or as needed. Call 613-542-5013 to ask about our next course.
